Repatriation of stranded Nepalese free of cost.
Kathmandu - The Supreme Court has ordered the government to repatriated the citizens from abroad who are unable to pay for return fare on their own at the expense of government funds.
The court has ordered to make necessary arrangements including tickets by mobilizing the amount of the fund formed as per the Foreign Employment Act and regulations. The order called for the rescue process should be carried out in compliance with World Health Organization (WHO) standards.
A joint bench of Judges Dr. Ananda Mohan Bhattarai and Hari Prasad Phuyal has ordered to mobilize funds if the stranded citizens get no help from the employer company or the destination country. The bench also reminded that it is the responsibility of the nation to repatriate the citizens safely from the destination country.
